I am interested in entering the Global Effie Awards. How do I enter?
The Entry Kit for the 2012 Global Effie Competition is now available.
Can I enter an initiative that started running before the eligibility start period?
Communications efforts may have been introduced earlier than the eligibility start period, but must have run between the eligibility dates of the current competition and have data relative to that time. Judges will be looking at the results within the eligibility time period. Data prior to that time period should be to set the scene. No results after the eligibility deadline can be submitted.
I want to make sure my entry is completed correctly. Any suggestions?
We recommend that you review the entry guidelines packet and the cases of past winners that are published online in the Winners Showcase. Please note: any DVDs submitted must be in NTSC format, NOT PAL, and English translations must be provided for any non-English executions.
When will I find out if I am a winner?
Entry to the 2012 competition opens in October 2011. All entrants will be notified if their entry is a winner in April 2012. The level of the win (whether it was deemed a Gold, Silver, or Bronze winner) is announced at the awards ceremony in 2012.
I am interested in becoming a judge? How does this work?
Judging is by invitation only. However, we are always looking for new judges, so please complete the Judging Application and a member of the Effie staff will be in contact with you.
When is an entry considered complete? Will I receive an entry confirmation?
All entrants are to submit their entries using the online entry system. In addition, entrants will need to mail 20 copies of the actual entry form to the Effie Awards office, with 10 hard copy examples of any print work associated with the case, one DVD of the 4-minute video, one copy of the signed Authorization Form and Payment Invoice (all available from the online entry area). A submission is not considered complete until all information has been completed online, and all necessary paperwork and full payment are received at Effie Worldwide. The person listed as the contact person in the online entry area will receive an entry confirmation once all entries have been processed.
I worked with another agency on an entry I would like to submit. How does this work?
Entrants are required to work together to submit a joint effort and to credit all main creative and strategic partners. This is also the best means of insuring a strong entry because judges will want to see all data and work relevant to your effort’s success. We encourage all entrants to credit all companies involved in the effort’s creation on the credits page of the online entry system. See how your credits will appear if you are a winner here.
My campaign ran internationally, but did not run in 4 countries and 2 regions. Am I still eligible to enter?
Cases may be eligible to compete in a regional or national Effie competition with one of Effie’s Worldwide Partners if the case ran in the country or region with the Effie program (for example, a case that ran in Brazil would be eligible to enter the Effie competition in Brazil).
