Its main priority is to educate and share with the industry (and all interested parties) its wisdom and definition of effectiveness by spotlighting great ideas that work and encouraging thoughtful dialogue about the ever-changing world of marketing communications. The Effie network has teamed up with some of the top research and media organizations worldwide to bring its audience the most relevant and first-class insights into effective marketing strategy. About the Effie Awards
 
The Effie Awards was founded in 1968 by the American Marketing Association, New York Chapter, Inc. as an awards program to honor the most effective advertising efforts in the United States.
 
Since 1968, Effie has become a source of learning through conferences, judging discussions and cases providing opportunities for insight into effective marketing communications.
 
Today, Effie honors the most significant achievement in marketing communications: ideas that work.
 
Known by advertisers and agencies globally as the pre-eminent award in the industry, the Effies recognize any and all forms of marketing communication that contribute to a brand’s success. Any marketing medium is eligible for an Effie, as long as results are proven, including Print, TV, Radio, Outdoor, Internet, Guerrilla, Digital, Package Design, Events, Street Teams, PR, Paid or Unpaid Media. Winning an Effie has become a global symbol of achievement. Today, Effie celebrates effectiveness worldwide with more than 40 global, regional and national Effie programs. In July of 2008, the New York AMA assigned its rights to the Effie brand over to a new entity named Effie Worldwide, Inc., which New York AMA believes will strengthen its educational component and hence its value to the industry.
 
Refund Policy:
 
Effie Worldwide, Inc. issues refunds only when the submitting/ordering company has overpaid or been incorrectly charged.
 
Entrants: Please thoroughly review all the information regarding how to enter, eligibility, etc. for the Effie competition available in the Effie Awards Entry Kit. Entries that do not adhere to the requirements will be disqualified and fees will not be refunded. Effie Worldwide, Inc. reserves the right to refuse any entry at any time.
 
Companies ordering Effie materials or attending an Effie event: Please review the details on the order form or event attendee registration form before making a payment.
 
Companies ordering a Subscription to the Effie Case Database:  Please review the details in the Subscription area before making a payment.

The following explains how we gather and use information you have given us. This policy may change over time. Any changes will be posted at this location and will be effective when posted. Your use of this site constitutes your acceptance of this policy.
 
Publishing Policy:
 
Entries that become Finalists and Winners in the Effie Awards Competition will be showcased in various ways. Publication is at the sole discretion of the Effie Worldwide, Inc. Work submitted must be original and you must have secured rights to submit it.
 
Creative Materials & Case Summary:
 
The creative material and case summary you enter into the Effie Awards competition becomes the property of Effie Worldwide, Inc. and will not be returned.
 
By entering your work in the competition, Effie Worldwide, Inc. is automatically granted the right to make copies, reproduce and display the creative material & case summaries for education and publicity purposes such as but not limited to the Effie Worldwide, Inc. Journal, Website, Press Releases, Newsletters, Programming/Conferences and Awards Gala.
 
Creative material submitted to the Effie Awards includes your 4-minute video reel, all .jpg images and hard copy print examples. The case summary is your 90 word public summary of your case.
 
Effie Case:
 
In addition to the above, the Effie Worldwide, Inc. offers entrants the opportunity to have their written case published on the Effie Worldwide, Inc. web site, partner web sites, and / or other publications as approved by the Effie Worldwide, Inc.
 
We respect that entries may have information deemed confidential by the client.
 
Entrants can indicate in the online entry area of the Effie Awards competition whether or not they grant permission for their written case to be published.
 
Permission Policy:
 
Entry to the Effie Awards Competition constitutes permission to be included in a data set for Effie Worldwide, Inc. purposes that do not breach confidentiality.
 
Information Collected:
 
When you use the Effie Worldwide, Inc. web site, we collect and track personal information, either by asking you about yourself (such as your name, company or email) or by using data-tracing software that records your IP address. Your IP address helps diagnose problems with our server and tracks the use of sections of our site and demographic information that is not tied to your identity.

When you buy something that will be shipped to you (Effie trophy, etc.), the shipper receives your contact information for the limited purpose of shipping.
