THE SHOPPER MARKETING EFFIES ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING ENTRIES FOR THE 2012 COMPETITION.

Brands are focusing more and more of their marketing efforts toward
their target shoppers.

They are putting the microscope on their target shoppers to better understand and influence their behavior when it comes to their path to purchase process.

From even before the shopping list gets written to the selection of which retailer
to shop at – brands are looking for ways to guide the shoppers’ thinking and behavior on their shopping journey – influencing the shopper pre, in, and post store.

Strategic efforts, both inside and increasingly more important – outside -
the retail environment, are happening in all forms of media channels, enabling advertisers to play a role in the shoppers’ decision process by effectively influencing them towards a specific purchasing outcome.

Shopper Marketing Effies

Effie Worldwide, in partnership with the Path to Purchase Institute, is pleased to introduce a new group of awards focused on those integrated campaigns that were specifically designed to engage the shopper and guide his or her purchase process towards a desired end result.

Awards will be given to the campaigns that best demonstrated how they effectively solved the shopper marketing challenge, connected with the shopper, influenced her along the path to purchase, and inspired her to become a buyer.

Marketing efforts that ran in North America – defined as efforts that ran in the US or Canada between Sept. 1, 2010 and August 31, 2011 – are eligible to enter the 2012 Effies.

Your work must have made an impact during this time period, and the results you provide must be within this time frame. Elements of the work may have been introduced earlier and/or run past the eligibility time frame, but your case must be based on data relative to the qualifying time.

The winners of this year’s Shopper Marketing Effie Awards will be honored at the Path to Purchase Institute’s 2012 Shopper Marketing Summit, which takes place April 16-18, 2012, at The Westin O’Hare in Rosemont, IL.
