The 2018 competition is closed for entries.
Entry materials for the 2019 Shopper Marketing Effie Awards (U.S.) competition will be posted in September 2018. You may review the below information + the 2018 entry materials as a reference for Effie's requirements.

2019 SHOPPER MARKETING AWARDS (U.S.) ELIGIBILITY
All shopper marketing efforts that ran in the United States between September 1, 2017 and August 31, 2018* are eligible to enter.
Any and all shopper marketing efforts, whether full campaigns or targeted contributing efforts within a campaign, are eligible to enter the Shopper Marketing Effie Awards competition. Any single medium or combination of mediums can be entered. You must detail the “why” behind the strategy and provide proof that your work achieved significant results.
Shopper Marketing efforts that ran between 9/1/17 and 8/31/18* in the United States are eligible to enter the 2019 Shopper Marketing Effies. (Canadian efforts should see Effie Canada.)
The work and results being evaluated by the judges must fall within this eligibility period. It is fine for work to begin before or continue running after the eligibility period, but the results being evaluated by judges must be from 9/1/17-8/31/18*.
Do not include results after the end of the eligibility period; this will result in disqualification*.
*If your effort LAUNCHED August 15-31, 2017 or CONCLUDED September 1-15, 2018, you may include data and creative work from those time periods.
*The Seasonal/Event category follows an extended eligibility period: October 1, 2017 - September 30, 2018. Do not include results after 9/30/18 for entries into this category.

Deadlines & Fees for the 2019 Shopper Marketing Effie Awards (U.S.) competition are posted below.
First Deadline: October 11, 2018 $ 975
Second Deadline: October 18, 2018 $ 1,425
Third Deadline: November 1, 2018 $ 2,195
Final Deadline: November 8, 2018 $ 2,595
Increased entry fees do not go into effect until the morning after the entry deadline around 8 AM Eastern Time. All materials required to complete an entry must be submitted by the indicated deadline in order to receive the associated rate.
Submissions for non-profit organizations receive a 50% discount on each deadline price.
When you begin your submission in the online entry portal, you will select that you are entering for a not-for-profit brand, and the discounted fees will apply. Submissions from non-profit organizations must confirm their eligibility by emailing proof of non-profit status and Entry ID# (obtained in the online entry area) to email@example.com. Proof of non-profit status can be provided with the following: link to the organization's website (page that notes non-profit status), IRS Determination Letter, or other proof.
If you are including results from September 2018 in your entry for this category, you are eligible for a later deadline schedule; an Effie team member will set you up with an amended deadline schedule once your submission has been created in the online entry area. Submissions not including results from September 2018 will follow the standard entry schedule.
NEW ENTRANT DISCOUNT
If your company has not submitted work in the 2016, 2017, or 2018 competitions (Effie US or Shopper Marketing) as the lead/entering company, you are eligible for a $200 discount on all entries you submit. New Entrant Discount requests should be made prior to submitting your entry. No New Entrant Discounts will be refunded after December 14, 2018.
You may apply for this discount once the 2019 Entry Portal opens for entries. Please make sure to include the entry ID# for all your entries. At that time, you can confirm your eligibility for the discount by emailing Caitlin Sequira at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Purchasing an Insight Guide for your submission is the only way to receive direct feedback from the judges who evaluated your case and learn the strongest and weakest scoring sections based on judging scores.
If purchased at time of entry, the cost of the Insight Guide is $250. If purchased after judging begins, the price increases to $350/entry.
