COMPETITION OPEN FOR ENTRIES
2018 Shopper Marketing Effie Awards
All marketing efforts that ran in the US or Canada between September 1, 2016 and August 31, 2017* are eligible to enter.
Any and all shopper marketing efforts, whether full campaigns or targeted contributing efforts within a campaign, are eligible to enter the Shopper Marketing Effie Awards competition. Any single medium or combination of mediums can be entered. You must detail the “why” behind the strategy and provide proof that your work achieved significant results.
Marketing efforts that ran in North America - defined as efforts that ran in the US and/or Canada - between 9/1/16 and 8/31/17* are eligible to enter the 2018 Shopper Marketing Effies. Results must be exclusive to the US and/or Canada.
The work and results being evaluated by the judges must fall within this eligibility period. It is fine for work to begin before or continue running after the eligibility period, but the results being evaluated by judges must be from 9/1/16-8/31/17*.
Do not include results after the end of the eligibility period; this will result in disqualification*.
*If your effort LAUNCHED August 15-31, 2016 or CONCLUDED September 1-15, 2017, you may include data and creative work from those time periods.
*The Seasonal/Event category follows an extended eligibility period: October 1, 2016 - September 30, 2017. Do not include results after 9/30/17 for entries into this category.

Submissions for non-profit organizations receive a 50% discount on each deadline price.
When you begin your submission in the online entry portal, you will select that you are entering for a not-for-profit brand, and the discounted fees will apply. Submissions from non-profit organizations must confirm their eligibility by emailing proof of non-profit status and Entry ID# (obtained in the online entry area) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Proof of non-profit status can be provided with the following: link to the organization's website (page that notes non-profit status), IRS Determination Letter, or other proof.
Seasonal/Event Category Submissions:
If you are including results from September 2017 in your entry for this category, you are eligible for a later deadline schedule; an Effie team member will set you up with an amended deadline schedule once your submission has been created in the online entry area. Submissions not including results from September 2017 will follow the standard entry schedule.
Increased entry fees do not go into effect until the morning after the entry deadline around 8 AM Eastern Time. All materials required to complete an entry must be submitted by the indicated deadline in order to receive the associated rate.
NEW ENTRANT DISCOUNT
If your company has not submitted work in the 2015, 2016, or 2017 competitions as the lead/entering company, you are eligible for a $200 discount on all entries you submit.
To apply this discount, you must obtain your Entry ID# via the Online Entry Portal.

If purchased at time of entry, the cost of the Insight Guide is $250. If purchased after judging begins, the price increases to $350/entry.
