2020 Entry Materials Available September 2019
ELIGIBILITYENTRY MATERIALS FOR THE 2020 COMPETITION WILL BE POSTED BY FALL 2019.
ELIGIBILITY INFO FOR THE 2020 COMPETITION IS OUTLINED BELOW.
All shopper marketing efforts that ran in the United States between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019* are eligible to enter.
Any and all marketing efforts, whether full campaigns or targeted contributing efforts within a campaign, are eligible to enter the competition. You may submit any one or any multiple combination of mediums - any examples of work that demonstrate how you tackled your objectives. You must detail the "why" behind the strategy and provide proof that your work achieved significant results.
Shopper Marketing efforts that ran between 9/1/18 and 8/31/19* in the United States are eligible to enter the 2019 Shopper Marketing Effies.
The work and results being evaluated by the judges must fall within this eligibility period. It is fine for work to begin before or continue running after the eligibility period, but the results being evaluated by judges must be from 9/1/18-8/31/19*.
Do not include results after the end of the eligibility period; this will result in disqualification*.
*The Seasonal/Event category follows an extended eligibility period: September 1, 2018 - September 30, 2019. Do not include results after 9/30/19 for entries into this category.
DEADLINES & FEES
Deadlines for the 2020 Competition will run through October and November 2019. Please see below for this year's deadlines & fees:
First Deadline: October 15, 2019 - $975
Second Deadline: October 22, 2019 - $1,425
Third Deadline: November 5, 2019 - $2,225
Final Deadline: November 12, 2019 - $2,625
Entries for non-profit organizations will receive a 50% discount on entry fees. This discount is automatically applied when you select that you are entering work for a non-profit brand.
If you are including results from September 2019 in your entry for this category, you are eligible for a later deadline schedule. An Effie team member will set you up with an amended deadline schedule once your submission has been created in the online entry area. Submissions not including results from September 2019 will follow the standard entry schedule.
NEW ENTRANT DISCOUNT
If your company has not submitted work in 2017, 2018, or 2019 competitions (Effie US or Shopper Marketing) as the lead/entering company, you are eligible for a $200 discount on all entries you submit. New Entrant Discount requests should be made prior to submitting your entry. New Entrant Discounts cannot be requested after December 13, 2019.
You may apply for this discount once the 2019 Entry Portal opens for entries. To obtain the New Entrant Discount Promo Code, please email your agency name & location, along with entry ID#(s) to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: NEW ENTRANT DISCOUNT.
Insight Guides provide feedback from the judges who scored your submission. Each Insight Guide is $350 per entry.
