Advance Auto Parts created an entirely new entry into the Die Hard film canon, starring Bruce Willis, in a major relaunch of their recently acquired DieHard Battery brand. The campaign garnered billions of earned media impressions and nearly universal positive consumer sentiment, leading to a major increase in awareness that DieHard Batteries are now available at Advance. Not only did this campaign introduce a significant piece of culturally relevant creative to the world, it led to notable increase in year over year sales of DieHard.
