While the rest of the fitness category was gearing up for New Year’s, Peloton saw an opportunity in the holiday season (Nov-Dec). The only problem? People didn’t think of Peloton as a potential gift. How could we convince people to gift an expensive piece of fitness equipment? By inviting them to “Get What You Give”. We told one gift-giving story from two perspectives and helped would-be giftees “Drop a Hint” to position Peloton as the perfect for them… and you. Sales nearly doubled (+96%) while cost of acquisition fell 56%.
