Amani Duncan

Veteran marketer and brand strategist Amani Duncan has spent nearly three decades helping brands grow their audience through strategic partnerships. She joined BBH in September 2020.

Prior to BBH NY, Duncan served as MTV’s Senior Vice President of Music, where she strengthened the network’s relationships with innovative artist-driven initiatives, strategic campaigns and the creation of music content, and breathed new life into classic shows like TRL, Fear Factor and Unplugged.

Before joining MTV, Duncan served as Head of Brand Marketing at Martin Guitar, helping to reimagine the timeless brand. She also worked as Chief Marketing Officer at Sean Combs’ Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment Group, overseeing the company’s many verticals, including fragrances, clothing, music, TV/film, spirits and charitable initiatives.

Duncan is serving as a 2021 Cannes Lions juror for the Entertainment Lions for Music category. She will also serve on the 2021 Effie’s Grand Jury, which selects the recipients of the Effie Awards’ top honors—campaigns that represent the best in marketing effectiveness.

Notable among leaders driving the industry forward, Duncan was selected as a 2021 Campaign Female Frontier honoree for “Leading the Charge: Creative.” The awards celebrate women who push boundaries to make the industry better. She serves on the Board of the 4A’s and is a member of the Steering Committee for Diversity and Inclusion. Duncan has been profiled by Billboard, Fast Company, Huffington Post, and The Wall Street Journal and champions her message of empowerment and self-determination to women across the marketing and entertainment industries.

Jason Harris is the co-founder & CEO of the award-winning creative advertising agency Mekanism, co-founder of the Creative Alliance and author of the national bestseller, The Soulful Art of Persuasion. Harris works closely with brands through a blend of creativity and performance. We call this approach Soul + Science. Iconic brands include Peloton, Ben & Jerry’s, Jose Cuervo, Alaska Airlines, Charles Schwab and OkCupid, among others.

Under his leadership, Mekanism was ranked by the Effie Index as a top 10 Most Effective Independent Agency in the United States. Mekanism has also been named to AdAge's Agency A-list and twice to their Best Places to Work. Tracy-Ann Lim is the Chief Media Officer at JPMorgan Chase responsible for Paid Media, Social content and community management and SEO firm wide. Tracy-Ann brings to bear the full weight of her 16 years’ experience to this role, in the reimagining and reengineering of Media as a tool for profitable growth. Her ~50 person team spans New York, Delaware, Columbus, Philadelphia, Chicago, UK and India. The centralization model within which they operate is one of Tracy-Ann’s crowning achievements so far in that it drives the transparency,agility and efficiency needed to get the job done. Prior to this role, Tracy-Ann has filled executive roles at Media Agencies in New York, LA and Dublin where she is from. In her most recent position prior to JPMC she helped Media Assembly win Agencyof the Year in 2018 on the strength of her work on the E*TRADE business; embedding a data led model that proved the ROI of all media investments.

Tracy-Ann has always been an advocate of emerging talent and as such has always sought ways to build support systems and add value. Her involvement ranges from annual speaking engagements with marketing graduates on the power of Communications Planning in business to mentorship programs like the one she is now a part of at JPMC; Next Roundtable Initiative. Tracy-Ann is also a member of MMA Global, North America Board. In this capacity she works alongside other Fortune 500 leaders on subjects such as Performance Marketing Research, Cognitive Neuroscience and Data Privacy in today’s marketing environment.

Tracy-Ann holds a Masters in Advertising from UCD, Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from DKIT Ireland. Tracy-Ann resides in Westchester, NY with her husband and two rambunctious sons.

Deidre Smalls-Landau

Dynamic and entrepreneurial, Deidre Smalls-Landau is an award-winning advertising executive who has been at the forefront of the industry for more than 20 years. Deidre serves as the U.S. Chief Marketing Officer & Global Head of Culture for UM, overseeing internal and external branding, platforms and initiatives that help shape UM as the agency that clients want to work with and people want to work for. In her role, Deidre ensures that Diversity, Equity & Belonging (DEB) is at the core of the agency’s business and branding, and works with client teams to integrate multicultural data and insights into UM’s planning process.  

Deidre established and launched UM’s Diversity Equity & Belonging (DEB) division in 2018. She was instrumental in shaping its strategic priorities and infrastructure while establishing DEB as a core competency at the agency.    

Deidre spearheads culturally-focused initiatives that inform UM’s work and decision-making on a global scale, including Remix Culture, a cultural framework for clients that analyzes the role that social and digital media play in shaping identity, culture and trends. She also leads the agency’s internal cultural consulting arm to guide clients on how to successfully understand, engage with, and market to diverse, growing and influential audiences.  

Deidre fundamentally believes that diversity and inclusion for all is a true competitive advantage that drives UM’s business success. To that end, she is hyper-focused on ensuring that the agency’s offering is diversely inclusive in talent and product, boosting the agency’s cultural acumen to help UM win back-to-back spots on Ad Age’s Best Places to Work list in 2019 and 2020, Adweek’s 2020 Agency of the Year, and Campaign’s Global Media Agency of the Year in 2021.  

Deidre is the Co-Chair of UM parent company Mediabrands’ cross-agency Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council (DEIC), where she leads the strategic framework for driving equity in the areas of talent strategies, client solutions, product development, partner and vendor relationships and community/civic engagement. Deidre helped architect the industry’s first-ever Equity Upfront in 2021, raising up Black-owned media for the advertising industry. At UM, Deidre has spearheaded the formation of various task forces to address the implementation of equity across product and media solutions.  

Deidre is a 2018 Adweek Media All-Star, a recipient of the She Runs It Working Mother of the Year Award in 2018 and 2020 and an AdClub Innovator 2021. She served as a judge on the 2021 Cannes Media Lions, 2018 Cannes Glass Lion and the 2018 Festival of Media Global Awards. She is a board member of the 4A’s Foundation and a member of Google’s 21st Century Marketing Advisory Council, Vox Media Agency Council and the 4A’s Media Leadership Council, where she advises the industry’s leading trade organization on policy, programming and best practices.  

Deidre received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Utica College and currently lives in Brooklyn with her husband Jonathan and twin girls, Nyla and Soleil.

Umesh Sripad is a Digital native leader with several years of experience in Product Management, Technology, & Consumer Marketing. As Chief Digital Officer for IKEA Retail U.S., he is responsible and accountable for leading the brand’s digital transformation creating a seamless omni-channel customer experience that delivers home furnishing inspiration through bricks & clicks.  

Before IKEA, Umesh was leading Overstock.com’s Digital Product and Technology teams. Two huge problems he helped to solve: 1) Create/build the best customer shopping experiences and services, and 2) Develop a profitable e-commerce business model through investments in technology and automation 

Prior to Overstock, Umesh held several leadership positions within CNN and Weather Channel. He led product and technology teams within publishing, digital advertising, digital platforms, globalization, etc, to deliver several award-winning and first to market technologies. 
 
Umesh is from New Zealand, he kicked off his career with APN News and Media as a Product Manager and worked his way up to be Head of Product Management. 
 
Umesh’s passion is solution finding and inspiring others to work through solutions to provide superior customer experiences. He speaks and instructs frequently at Product School - sharing his experiences to a new generation of budding Product management professionals. 
 
Outside of his professional life, he loves hanging out with his wife and daughter. Umesh enjoys traveling, he has backpacked across 18 countries so far. When not traveling, he loves British stand-up comedy and plays tennis.

Zena is an accomplished executive across CPG and Technology marketing and general management.  She recently joined Kimberly Clark as their Chief Digital & Marketing Officer, leading Kimberly-Clark's global marketing teams and driving initiatives to accelerate the digital transformation of the company's brands and businesses.  She was previously at Google, where she was most recently in Business and Operations leadership roles running the US Chromebooks organization and subsequently starting a Global Growth team.  Prior to that she led Global Marketing for Chromebooks, managing product marketing, brand marketing, partnerships, go-to-market and international expansion, resulting in double digit share growth.  Zena joined Google to run Go To Market for Google Play in the Americas, accelerating sales via brand building initiatives, growth marketing, performance media and partnerships. The formative years of her career were at Procter and Gamble and Kellogg's, where she held a series of brand and portfolio management roles on their biggest brands like Olay, Folgers, Pop-Tarts and more, overseeing current business/P&L, upstream innovation and shopper marketing.  She holds a degree in computer science from The Ohio State University.

Kate Stanford oversees global go-to-market marketing for Google Ads. In this role she oversees brand management, communications and activation for Google Ads and YouTube Ads, as well as Think with Google, a global platform for consumer insights and thought leadership about marketing.  

Prior to this position, Kate held a range of leadership roles across Google’s ads marketing teams over the past 10 years, including YouTube Ads, DoubleClick, publisher outreach, B2B brand communications, and more.

Before joining Google, Kate held strategic planning, marketing and news production roles at media companies including the Philadelphia Inquirer and CNN. 

Kate holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a BA from Princeton University, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She is on the board of directors for the Montclair Public Library Foundation; the alumni board of directors for Princeton’s University Press Club; and has been an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Columbia University.  Kate lives in Montclair, NJ with her husband and three children.
