The announcement of the Finalists follows a rigorous judging process that took place in two rounds across June and July. The panels of more than 180 esteemed judges, drawn from the senior ranks of brands, agencies, and academia, evaluated a field of entries that increased 38% from 2023’s competition.

The Effie Awards Canada judging process is headed by Kate Torrance, VP, Head of Brand, Content and Communications, SickKids Foundation; and Adam Reeves, Chief Creative Officer, TBWA\Group Canada, who were named co-chairs of the Effie Canada steering committee for 2024/2025.

Finalist entries that have been awarded Winners will be revealed in the coming weeks (Bronze winners on September 30, Silver winners on October 7, and Gold winners on October 15).

These announcements form part of the build-up to the Canadian Marketing Effectiveness Summit 2024 on October 24th, where the Grand Effie, Effie Canada Marketer of the Year, and Effie Canada Agency of the Year will all be announced.

This year’s Canadian Marketing Effectiveness Summit digs deep into the latest economic trends and how they impact Canadian marketing effectiveness, featuring provocative discussions with industry leaders, including Laurence Green, Director of Effectiveness at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA).
