The Global Effie Awards honor the most effective marketing efforts that run across multiple regions worldwide.
Global Multi Region Program Update
The Global Multi-Region Effie Awards were established in 2004 to honor the most effective marketing efforts that run across multiple regions worldwide. Efforts entered must demonstrate effectiveness in global marketing in at least four countries across two or more worldwide regions.
Given the high degree of challenge of the competition and to further enable global entrants to demonstrate their effectiveness across multiple regions, Effie Worldwide will update the timing of the Global Multi-Region program to biennial. The next competition will launch in 2024 and will allow for a more robust and comprehensive competition.
The next competition will open in March 2024 with an eligibility period from January 1st, 2020-December 31st, 2023. Participating brands and agencies will have the opportunity to earn points in the 2024 Effie Index for each market entered as part of the Global Multi-Region campaign.

Congratulation to the 2022 Winners
Global Multi-Region Effie Award winners, for the year’s most effective marketing ideas that worked in multiple markets worldwide, were announced on December 6, 2022 at the virtual Global Effie celebration.
Colgate Palmolive and WPP Red Fuse won the Gold Effie in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods category for Colgate’s “Protecting the world’s biggest brand with a smile,” with Wavemaker and Design Bridge.
There were two Silver Effies awarded in the Positive Change categories – one for Social Good and one for Environmental.
Unilever and Lowe Lintas earned Silver in the Social Good - Brands category for Lifebuoy’s “H is for Handwashing,” with MullenLowe, MullenLowe Salt, and Weber Shandwick.
WWF Singapore and Grey Malaysia took home Silver in the Environmental – Non-Profit category for WWF’s “Plastic Diet.”
